Five tips for the Christmas Holidays

Being bored is permitted but not needed during this holiday.

Are you stuck in Wageningen this Christmas Holiday? No worries. Resource checked out what you can do to brighten these dark days.

Party at KSV

Start the holidays in style with a night of partying at KSV. On Friday, 20 December you can celebrate Francischristmas during an open party. Tickets are available for 7.50 euros.

Christmas Fair

Late night? Take a trip to the Christmas Fair in the city centre. Plenty of food,  shopping, and you can listen to a singing Christmas tree or have your picture taken with a sleigh. Still hungover? No problem. The market is also open on Sunday.

Christmas Concert

There is a Christmas concert in the Grote Kerk. Do you like traditional Christmas carols? Various performers, including Wageningen’s chamber choir and The Swinging Bronco Brothers, are sure to get you in the Christmas spirit. Tickets are available at 10 euros.

New Year’s Eve at Unitas

Dance the year away at the Winter Wonderland party thrown by Unitas. You can share your best New Year’s resolutions or fondest memories of the past year with whoever is willing to listen from 00.30 in the morning. The entrance fee is 9 euros.

Beer tasting

The Stadsbrouwerij allows you very little time to succeed in your New Year’s resolutions. They organise a beer tasting on 4 January. There is a tour of the brewery and your will learn all about the history of beer and how new recipes are designed. A tour costs 17.95 euros, but three special beers are included in the fee.
