It’s an exciting time for first-years who are about to start their degree at Wageningen University: the Introduction Days (AID) start on 11 August and then they will get to know each other and Wageningen.
We have put together the AID Special for them, chockful of tips and information about WUR and Wageningen. What student societies are there, and what green ‘clubs’? How do you manage your money as a student, and what tips do the lecturers have for studying successfully? What special research is done at WUR and what is the typical Wageningen lingo?
Our columnists Emma, Aarzoo and Luuk looked back on their own AID experiences. And we interviewed Education director Arnold Bregt about the academic year ahead of us: ‘There’s more to an academic education that knowledge transfer.’
PS: The Special is nice to read for staff and students who are not first-years too…
