Yes, you read it right. I am completely in love with the beauty of spring. But wait, what about the snow that happened last week? I think I should not be surprised by the weather in the Netherlands. I know you all agree and also that you are smiling after reading this right now.
Hello, smiling readers; here I am back with my new blog about my first experience of the beginning of spring in the Netherlands. Last year, during spring, I was back in India at my home sweet home. There I enjoyed the beauty of spring from the window of my room during the lockdown.
I think spring has always been my favourite part of the year, as we see new leaves on the trees, blooming of flowers, insects collecting nectar and pollen from flowers, hear the bird chirp and so on. It just accentuates the beauty of mother earth. In India, the festival of colours, commonly known as Holi, is celebrated during the arrival of spring. Since my childhood, I always waited for spring, especially as it brings beauty everywhere, and Holi.
Since my childhood, I always waited for spring, especially as it brings beauty everywhere, and Holi
At the Holi festival, people of all ages go into the streets for fun and put Holi colour on the face of others. Believe me, it is so much filled with fun and love. Well yeah, due to the pandemic, last year I didn’t play Holi at my home, but this year I tried to play it with my international friends keeping in mind the measures and distancing.
I really enjoyed introducing the festival to my friends, and they loved it as well. I also went to some beautiful places in the area, like the arboretum, to explore the beauty of newly blooming flowers. Indeed, everything looked so beautiful, but still, I managed to find my most favourite tree of the spring season, that is the magnolia tree, also known as the tulip tree. Those lovely pink flowers loaded on the tree made me feel so happy eternally, and for sure, I clicked so many pictures. Sometimes, I also went near the Rhine riverside, sat and enjoyed the view. I think it’s that time of the season when I love to give myself to nature as it soothes me completely.
So, in between your studies and work, try taking some time to enjoy nature’s beauty
Life isn’t easy, but there is an endless way to lower the difficulties by giving ourselves a small moment of happiness. Spring is definitely a perfect costless invitation of nature to enjoy in its arms.
So, in between your studies and work, try taking some time to enjoy nature’s beauty, which surely most of my readers must be doing. Keep smiling, and also on the light side, enjoy the crazy weather with some hint of snow.
Stay safe, enjoy the love of spring, see you all in my next blog.
