Would wild rocket salad plants grow better on Martian soil if there were worms in it? Probably, suggest preliminary results from Wieger Wamelink’s experiments in gardening with Mars-like soils. He harvested his rocket yesterday. In the photo, Wamelink is bisecting a clump of soil to examine its structure. Three live worms appeared. They will now go into a worm hotel to recuperate from their ‘space travel’.
