Over the coming months, several working groups will address the issues that the directors and managers have identified as the most urgent. These include the financial relationship between VHL and Wageningen UR, the level of independence enjoyed by VHL, and collaboration in the fields of education and research. These topics emerged from the staff day held on 18 January as the source of the staff’s strongest objections to collaboration with ‘Wageningen’. Sometime in the summer, a second opinion poll will be held on the proposals the working groups come up with.
VHL stays with ‘Wageningen’ for now
Van Hall Larenstein and Wageningen UR are not divorcing yet. The executive board has agreed to the plan of action proposed by the directors and management team of the applied sciences university.
