The Forum Bridge has two separate sections now, one for cyclists and one for pedestrians. The two paths are separated from each other by the use of different material, but also by a white bar.
The widening of the bridge and the separation of cyclists and pedestrians must make the bridge safer. In recent years the bridge was regularly closed because when slippery (and sometimes just like that) people went down with their bike. The bridge to the education building is massively used each morning by students and staff who go to college or workplace.
The adjustment of the bridge fits within the university’s plan to separate cyclists and pedestrians on the campus.
