Blog: Beautiful emotions

The Covid situation in her home country India, worries blogger Aarzoo.

Hello beautiful readers! I am sure you are managing the stress of daily life very well. It is a great feeling, whenever I write the first sentence of my blog, to imagine you all making time in your busy schedule to read it. Welcome to my blog.

I am really a very emotional person. Sometimes I am confused as to whether this is a strength or a weakness. But in different phases of my life, I have learnt that emotions can be both a strength and a weakness. It depends whether they encourage you or pull you down.

I have learnt that emotions can be both a strength and a weakness

In the past few weeks, I have been experiencing a lot of worries, quite often ending up with tears in my eyes. Well, this is not without reason, since the Covid situation is worst in my home country, India. Waking up every day to negative news about my country makes me sad and emotional. My parents, relatives, friends and of course all Indian citizens are going through a really dangerous pandemic. Such a situation, when there is not much I can do from here except to keep in touch and encourage people to stay home, makes me feel low. Although I call my parents and close friends almost every day to check up on them, it doesn’t diminish the worry about an unpredictable attack of Covid-19.

So I have tried to keep myself positive, and we all know how important it is to first take care of ourselves in order to help others. Talking to my friends, listening to music, working on reports, cooking, and other things help to take my mind off the worries. I really appreciate my friends for always making me feel their beautiful presence in my blessed life. Being an only child, far away from my parents for 9 months, isn’t easy at all.

Every day when I wake up and before going to sleep at night, I pray for the welfare and safety of India, especially my parents. I know I get emotional, but tears are important for making you feel the value of your loved ones. Recently, I heard things were getting a bit better in India, which makes me feel a tiny bit better. Al I can say is:  it is normal to feel emotions about these things, and good to feel and express your emotions, especially to yourself. So I try to respect all the emotions I feel, because they are beautiful.

Dear reader, keep expressing your emotions and don’t suppress them. See you all in my next blog.
